Background:
Hailing from the town of Pennsauken, NJ, James received his B.S. in Chemistry from Delaware State University. While working on his degree, he investigated homologs of trimethylguanosine synthase. He earned a master’s degree from Fisk University while studying the synthesis and characterization of functional polymers with applications in hydrogen fuel cells and tissue engineering. In his spare time James is an avid gamer, and enjoys exploring Nashville. He joined the McLean lab in Spring 2014.
