Chloe receives Dean’s Award

Posted by on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in Uncategorized.

Chloe has received the inaugural Dean’s Award for Exceptional Achievement in Graduate Studies. This is a cash award that recognizes graduate students at Vanderbilt University who have made substantial contributions to their field. In particular, Chloe has generated tools for sensing phospholipid composition in fission yeast that will be of use to fission yeast biologists broadly. Furthermore, she used these tools to provide direct, in vivo evidence for the role of plasma membrane phospholipid composition in cytokinesis, which has opened multiple doors for new research projects.
