The VBI Instrument Core is a Vanderbilt University research core facility. The Vanderbilt Brain Institute maintains a large and diverse set of instruments throughout Medical Research Building III. Unless noted, all of our equipment is available for anyone to use as we strive to provide a collaborative environment to all of Vanderbilt’s community of researchers.
The usage of certain pieces of equipment will involve required training and documentation. Being a shared resource, please be considerate and leave all equipment clean and in good working condition for the next person. If any problems arise, please notify the Equipment Resource Manager, Hastings Benitone (hastings.benitone@vanderbilt.edu). Please do not assume that someone has already reported the problem. This will ensure that all issues are addressed immediately and that there are no delays in equipment repairs. It is the goal of the VBI Instrument Core to maintain all of its equipment to the highest of standards, ensuring excellent performance at all times.
In the event of equipment damage beyond normal wear, the responsible party must cover repair or full replacement costs in accordance with Vanderbilt policy.
