MestReNova NMR Software
1) Follow the directions to mount the Small Molecule NMR Data share
2) Navigate to the MestReNova folder (\\10.8.134.56\SM_NMR_Storage\MestReNova [PC] or smb://10.8.134.56/SM_NMR_Storage/MestReNova [Mac]). You must be on the Vanderbilt network or connected to the VPN.
3) Download the three license files (*.lic)
4) Download an appropriate version of MestReNova. Our license covers all versions released before Sept 2025. Later versions will not be covered. You can download them directly from MestReNova or you can download the windows (.msi) or mac (.dmg) installers from the MestReNova folder on the share.
5) Install MestReNova. You do not need to install the Mass Spec or other non-NMR modules. You can un-check all plugins besides MestReNova Plugins, NMR Plugin, Data Analysis Plugin, and Advanced Plugins during installation.
6) Install the three license files.
Your workstation will authenticate against the server before you can use the software. It must reauthenticate every 90 days. You must be connected to the Vanderbilt network either directly or via the VPN for the software to authenticate against the server.
Note: If you get any “License server protocol errors (0x80000010)” these seem to go away on their own. You might try reopening MestReNova a bit later so it can reauthenticate.
