Andrew Pumford to Participate in IRONMAN Triathalon on July 25, 2020
RASR Lab team member Andrew Pumford, an undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University, will be participating in the IRONMAN Foundation’s Your Journey, Your Cause fundraising program to support the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research that puts an end to Alzheimer’s disease. Andrew will be running the IRONMAN Triathlon in Santa Rosa, California on July 25, 2020 in honor of his grandfather, David Knepshield. During the last few years of his life, Andrew’s grandpa endured the relentless symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and passed away earlier this year.
Each year, a select group of athletes from around the world participate in the IRONMAN Foundation’s Your Journey, Your Cause fundraising program to support the charities of their choice. Together, they share a passion to create positive tangible change in the world and prove that “Anything Is Possible.” We #RaceForMore.
The Ironman Triathlon consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and Run 26.2 mile run. In conjunction with his training, he has set a fundraising goal of $2000. If you would like to support Andrew on his journey please visit: https://ironmanfoundation.donordrive.com/participant/Andrew-Pumford
