RASR Lab alum Andrew Pumford, an undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University, will be participating in the IRONMAN Foundation’s Your Journey, Your Cause fundraising program to support the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research to end Alzheimer’s disease. Andrew will be running the IRONMAN Triathlon in Santa Rosa, California on June 27, 2021 in honor of his grandfather David Knepshield. During the last few years of his life, Andrew’s grandpa endured the relentless symptoms of this disease and ultimately passed away from Alzheimer’s disease.

Each year, a select group of athletes from around the world participate in the IRONMAN Foundation’s Your Journey, Your Cause fundraising program to support the charities of their choice. Together, they share a passion to create positive tangible change in the world and prove that “Anything Is Possible.” We #RaceForMore.
