Professor Kang’s research interests include technology management, strategic human capital, organization design, and strategy. Her research explores whether and how firms adopt artificial intelligence (AI), and the impact of disruptive technology on the Future of Work. She collaborates closely with firms to explore research questions using both quantitative methods and randomized field experiments, complemented by qualitative methods. Her research has received funding from Strategy Research Foundation (SRF) Dissertation Research Grant and Desmarais Fund for Research in AI.

Professor Kang earned her bachelor’s degrees from Nankai University and the University of Canterbury, a master’s degree from the University of British Columbia, and a Ph.D. degree from INSEAD.
