Postdoctoral Research Position in Semiconductor Physics and Computational Modeling

The EEDG at Vanderbilt University is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher with strong theoretical and computational skills to complement our experimental work in semiconductor physics. This position will focus on using simulation tools like COMSOL and TCAD to guide experiments and interpret data, contributing to innovative advancements in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simulations to support and explain experimental findings in semiconductor devices and materials.
  • Collaborate with group members to design experiments informed by theoretical insights.
  • Mentor graduate students and assist with research proposals and publications.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor physics and solid-state physics.
  • Proficiency with tools like COMSOL or TCAD for modeling and simulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a proven publication record.
