Sep. 5, 2025—On Thursday, September 4th, Alejandro presented his poster ‘Non-Destructive Spectroscopic Screening of GaN Wafers for Low-Resistance Contact Viability via Machine Learning’ at the Vanderbilt School of Engineering Summer Research Symposium poster session. This poster encompassed all the work that Alejandro did over his 10-week research project over the summer. Great work Alejandro!
Lester Eastman 2025
Aug. 12, 2025—On August 11th and 12th, Prof. Mona Ebrish and Owen attended the 2025 Lester Eastman Conference on High Performance Devices at the University of Florida. This included a presentation by Owen where he won Best Poster! Congratulations to Owen!

Aug. 1, 2025—On July 29-31, Prof. Mona Ebrish was invited to speak at the 2025 IEEE NAECON conference in Dayton Ohio. She presented beside other emerging microelectronics leaders.
APL Electronic Devices Editorial Board
Jul. 17, 2025—Professor Mona Ebrish was chosen to join the Editorial Advisory Board of APL Electronic Devices. In this role, Prof. Ebrish joins a group of leading researchers to advise the Editors of the journal on scientific content and initiatives and help shape the journal as it grows.

Jun. 23, 2025—Prof. Mona Ebrish was elected Secretary of Electronic Materials Conference (2024-2026). This exciting role involves helping to plan and execute the 2026 and 2027 conferences. Congrats to Prof. Ebrish!
Haley Dishman: GEM fellow, NASA Intern
May. 5, 2025—Haley was awarded a GEM fellowship. This program promotes the bennifits of a higher education degree within industry. Through the fellowship, Haley will be working as an intern for NASA at Goddard Space Flight Center over the summer of 2025! Congratulations to Haley!

Mar. 25, 2025—On March 17 – 19th, Prof. Ebrish and Owen attended the 2025 Government Microcircuit applications and Critical Technology Conference in Pasadena, California. This included presentations by both Owen and Prof. Ebrish.
NASA L’SPACE Honorable Mention
Feb. 12, 2025—We are pleased to announce that Haley Dishman was selected to participate in the NASA L’SPACE NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience (NPWEE) program. Through this program, her proposal on “Beryllium Implantation for Complex Device Structures” was selected by NASA reviewers to advance to the full proposal stage, where she was appointed as the principal investigator for her team.
