Martín Arnoletti


Martin is a Vanderbilt medical student who joined the lab in 2025 as a part of his medical school research immersion. He is currently investigating the associations between clinical and genetic Type 2 Diabetes heterogeneity and pancreatic cancer.Martin graduated with honors from the University of Florida where he received a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology/Cell Sciences in 2022 and Masters of Public Health concentrating in epidemiology in 2023. There, he was a member of the Brusko Lab where he contributed to projects investigating the role CD226 in Type 1 Diabetes pathogenesis and Regulatory T cell phenotype. His honors thesis with was a pilot analysis using CRISPR-mediated T-cell-receptor knockouts to increase avidity of Regulatory T-cells with virally transduced TCR’s.He will graduate VUSM in 2027 with plans to pursue an Internal Medicine residency and eventually a fellowship. He has a cat named Munchy and spends his free time tending to his houseplants and playing soccer.
