Cynthia Ramos
Lab Manager, Cell & Developmental Biology
Cynthia earned her BS degree in Medical Technology from Manila, Philippines. She started as a Research Assistant/Lab Manager at the Friedrich Miescher Institute of the Novartis Company in Basel ,Switzerland. She then migrated to the USA and worked at the Dorris Neuroscience Center of the Scripps Research Institute and later at the Salk Institute in San Diego, CA. She moved to Nashville, TN in 2022 and worked as a Lab Manager in VUMC, until she joined the Delgiorno Lab as a Senior Lab Manager in November, 2025.
She started “Bread for Life” & “Plant for Life”—both community services that distribute bread to impoverished families in the Philippines and teach them to grow vegetables in recycled pots from plastic bottles. She has enjoyed living and working in 3 different countries but still plans to retire in the Philippines when the time comes, to continue these projects.
