Anna Miller

Anna Miller is a teacher-turned-education-researcher with interests in tiered PD models to support pre-and in-service teacher education, math instruction for students with or at-risk for learning disabilities, student and instructional characteristics that interfere with or facilitate response to math interventions, the efficacy of combined cognitive and academic interventions for students with or at-risk for learning disabilities, and statistical methods to compare low performing students to their peers. She holds a B.S. in nutritional science from the University of British Columbia and an M.A. in special education from New Mexico Highlands University. Prior to coming to Vanderbilt, Anna fell in love with math education through experiences teaching undergraduate calculus tutorials at UBC and was a public school special education classroom teacher in Albuquerque, NM.  Anna is funded on a Complex Learning Disabilities grant from the Office of Special Education Programs from the US Department of Education.
