Vanderbilt recognized for outstanding National Biomechanics Day outreach event!
Vanderbilt was the recipient of an award intended “to recognize schools and labs who utilized engaging, useful, and both cost and time efficient lab demonstrations” for National Biomechanics Day (NBD). Thanks to all the Vanderbilt students and faculty who participated to make it such a fun day. Special thanks to Emily Matijevich who wrote up a summary of our demos/activities and submitted them for award consideration. And a huge thanks to all to all the people who attended our NBD lab open house in April, which included over 100 individuals from the community (~50% from K-12 age group, ~25% college-aged, and ~25% older adults from the university and surrounding community).
