The Center for Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology (CREATE) at Vanderbilt University is looking for an engineering post-doctoral researcher to work on projects involving biomechanics, powered prosthetics, exoskeletons and exosuits. We are looking for an experienced, creative and multi-talented design engineer to join our team in the Center for Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology (CREATE) at Vanderbilt University, where we strive to develop and test next-generation exoskeletons, exosuits, prostheses, smart clothing and wearables in order to improve societal health and well-being. The Mechanical Design & Innovation Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical systems, components and mechanisms for wearable robotics and leading a variety of design projects focused on wearable technology for physical augmentation. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the opportunity for renewal.
