Congrats to Erik Lamers, and team, on Young Investigator Award at ISB conference in Australia

Posted by on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in News.

Prof. Zelik and 4 graduate students attended the International Society of Biomechanics conference in Brisbane, Australia last week. Each lab member did an outstanding job engaging in the meeting and representing Vanderbilt through their oral presentations and posters. Of particular note, congratulations to Erik Lamers who won the David Winter Young Investigator Award for Best Poster, for his research poster on smart, biomechanically-assistve clothing  (link to poster). Erik’s research represents the efforts of a considerable team, including engineering students (Matthew Yandell, Juliana Soltys, Lauren Branscombe, Joshua Fleck), engineering faculty (Zelik) and a clinical collaborator (Dr. Aaron Yang). Prof. Zelik also won the Promising Scientist Award at the same conference (link).
