Autism researcher and dedicated disability advocate, Ph.D. Neuroscience student with a focus on sensorimotor systems (peripersonal space) using VR/AR. Research is deeply rooted in lived experience (Autism and ADHD since childhood), aiming to bridge gaps in understanding sensory processing in autism and improve therapeutic approaches. Undergraduate research at UC Berkeley looked at the emotions of Awe and Empathy in autism. Recognized for academic excellence, including prestigious fellowships (NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, PD Soros Fellowship, Neurodiversity Inspired Science and Engr Fellow, AIRP-ANSWER Scholar) and for high-profile media publications (Time, Newsweek and Fortune and more). Track record of transformative leadership in disability advocacy, serve on multiple boards of national disability orgs; speaker at TedX and at the UN. Selected to serve on the NIH’s Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee. Committed to integrating innovative research with policy to foster inclusive environments and create impactful solutions for the autism/disability community.
