Hannah Ziegler
PhD Student, Department of Teaching and Learning
Hannah Ziegler, a PhD student in the Department of Teaching and Learning, focuses her research on designing equitable uses of learning technologies and challenging the onto-epistemological boundaries of STEM education. She is particularly interested in exploring justice- and human-centered approaches to transform the relationship between nature and culture using emerging technologies. Hannah is currently working on an NSF-funded project called Teens (Re-)Storying the Creek with STEM (T-ReCS) under Dr. Heidi Carlone. Her recent work has explored augmented reality (AR) as a form of digital storytelling for critical place-based science learning. Participating in the LIVE Research Project Grant as well as the Learning Innovation Events, Hannah has greatly benefited from the expertise of the LIVE community as she explores the pedagogical affordances of AR in light of the T-ReCS project goals.
