Dr. Alyssa Wise is Professor of Technology and Education in Peabody College’s Department of Teaching and Learning and Director of LIVE. Her research combines the tools of data science, theories of learning sciences and practices of human-centered design to build and study the use learning analytics and artificial intelligence systems that promote equitable and effective learning. Her recent efforts focus on the development asset-based tools to support individual and collective human flourishing, leveraging computational methods to create effective learning opportunities at scale and advancing techniques for data-informed decision-making. Dr. Wise holds a Ph.D. in Learning Sciences and M.S. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University, as well as a B.S. in Chemistry from Yale University, and has previously worked in industry, with non-profits and in classrooms across the Americas. She welcomes collaborations across disciplinary areas and learning contexts focused on innovative and impactful innovation for learning.
