Akos Ledeczi is a professor of computer science at Vanderbilt University. He received his MSc from the Technical University of Budapest and his PhD from Vanderbilt University, both in Electrical Engineering. His research interests include distributed systems such as wireless sensor networks and cyber physical systems and computer science education. His group has developed NetsBlox, a novel block-based programming environment specifically designed to teach advanced computing concepts to novices. He has co-authored a popular introductory programming MOOC on Coursera.
