The Vanderbilt International Researchers Alliance (VIRAL) is thrilled to invite you to the 2025 Annual VIRAL Research Symposium on April 18th from 9am-5pm at the Student Life Center! Registrations are now open! Presentation abstracts will be accepted until March 21st, and poster abstracts until March 28th. All winners will receive a generous award! We will also be hosting breakfast, lunch, and a happy hour!

Introducing the second annual VIRAL symposium
We’re incredibly pleased to announce that the 2nd annual VIRAL International Symposium: Research and Stories hosted by the Vanderbilt International Researchers Alliance (VIRAL). Registrations are now open! Registration for attendance is open to everyone, and we specifically encourage students and post-docs who identify as international to register to present a poster and/or talk. Thanks to the generous support of the Graduate School, trainees presenting will be able to print a poster free of charge through the Graduate School. More details to come in the new year!
Save the Date
To be held April 18th, 2024 at the Community Event Space, the Symposium is an all-day event that aims to highlight and celebrate the integral accomplishments of international research commuhnity at Vanderbilt University. This year, VIRAL is aiming to expand our outreach and provide an academic platform for researchers from the many different departments here at Vandy to proudly present their work, research, and their international journey.

Registrations will remain open until April 1st, with abstract submissions due by March 15th.

Come celebrate the accomplishments of our international research community with VIRAL! We ask that you encourage your international trainees to present their work, as well as share their story as an international researcher – be it in their talks, at their poster or just at the happy hour!
