Outline:
This teddy bear shaped novel robot is a multi-sensory interaction robot. It has servos built in for certain motions and it can detect faces through an embedded camera in its nose. The bear has force sensing resistors allowing it to feel force applied to its ears. The bear will wake up if its ears are pinched and then the bear will look at the interactor. We are going to integrate more functionality to the robot and we hope it can be applied in the research of human robot interaction with children with ASD.
