May. 6, 2025—On March 5th, 2025, Aubrie defended her thesis titled “Mending the Matrix: Piezo Initiates Transient Collagen IV Production During Basement Membrane Repair”. Her committee consisted of Dr. Matthew Tyska, Dr. Gautam Bhave, Dr. Jared Nordman, and Dr. Barbara Fingleton. A story of basement membrane repair published in Developmental Cell

Mar. 16, 2025—Aubrie Stricker et al. published a new paper in Developmental Cell! This paper identified a Piezo-dependent population of gut cells that produce collagen IV required for basement membrane repair. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.devcel.2025.02.011

Pankajam joins the lab!

Aug. 21, 2024—Pankajam is a recent PhD graduate from Dr. Melissa Rolls’ lab at Pennsylvania State University. Her postdoc in the Page-McCaw lab will involve studying the mechanisms involved in wound healing. Outside of the lab, she and her husband enjoy cooking Indian food and playing board games!
