Zengbo Xie - Doctoral Candidate

I received my B.S. in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, graduating with honors. Afterward, I worked as a lab manager and research assistant at the University of Notre Dame for two years. Now, as a fourth-year Ph.D. student, I use eye tracking, EEG, and ultra-fast fMRI to investigate the relationships among attention, memory, and consciousness.

Lanting Qiu - Graduate Student

I received my B.S. in Applied Psychology from Hengyang Normal University in China and my M.Sc. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Currently, I am using ultra-fast fMRI to investigate the temporal dynamics of the attentional blink and examine whether it shares a common neural mechanism with the psychological refractory period. Outside of the lab, I enjoy listening to music, dancing (hip-hop and waacking/punking), photography, and traveling.

Daniel Garcia-Barnett - Graduate Student

I received my B.A. in Cognitive Science from Dartmouth College and previously worked as a technical research specialist at the Nathan Kline Institute. Within the lab, I look forward to exploring the neural distinction between attention/awareness using a combination of modalities. Outside the lab, I enjoy art (both digital and traditional) and spending time with my cat, Kora.

Junchi He - Master Student

I am a master's student in the Cognitive and Developmental Psychology in Context program. My research interests broadly include attention, consciousness, decision-making, and affective cognition. I am particularly interested in using behavioral and neuroimaging methods to better understand the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying these processes. Outside of research, I enjoy skiing, watching movies, and cooking.
