Courtney Coleman


  • Courtney is a junior undergraduate majoring in Medicine, Health and Society. She joined the lab in November 2023, and is currently studying SSNA1 and its effects on microtubule dynamics under the mentorship of Anna Cassidy. Outside of the lab, she loves to polar plunge!

  • Contributed to exploration of muralytic protein CHAPk as an alternative to synthetic drugs for combating
    bacterial resistance
  • Collaborated with research team to develop experiments for improving enzyme activity
  • Employed protein engineering techniques to synthesize CHAPK
  • Presented relevant research papers at weekly meetings
