Jan. 20, 2016—Little Marija presented her research in the Microtubules and Motors Club, before leaving for Berkeley next week. We will miss her a lot, and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors!
First tubulin prep!
Nov. 25, 2015—Big night in the Zanic lab: we got 250 mg in our very own first tubulin prep! Kudos to Ki, Ian, Beth, Veronica, Greg and Marijas for persevering into the wee hours! And what a better way to celebrate than with a lab hike enjoying beautiful Nashville November weather!

Welcome Claire Strothman!
Sep. 10, 2015—The Zanic Lab welcomes PhD student Claire Strothman for her first rotation in our lab! Claire is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University where she obtained her BA in Medicine, Health and Society, and is currently in the first year of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program. Welcome Corey Hayford!
Aug. 22, 2015—We welcome PhD student Corey Hayford who will be doing his first rotation in our lab! Corey obtained his BS in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin (Go Horns!) and is in the first year of the PhD program in Quantitative and Chemical Biology.
Welcome Marija Podolski!
Aug. 13, 2015—We're very excited to welcome Marija Podolski to the lab! Marija obtained her PhD in Biophysics with Joe Howard (now at Yale University), and will be moving on to a postdoc at Berkeley Bioengineering with Dan Fletcher. We are thrilled that she decided to spend some time with us during her transition!
