Laura B. Richardson
Graduate Student, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Laura is a Ph.D. candidate in chemical engineering. She is currently in her third year of grad school and is funded by the NSF graduate research fellowship. She went to the University of Kentucky for undergrad and got a degree also in chemical engineering. She joined the Žanić lab in the Fall of 2021, and her project focuses on applying engineering techniques to answer biological questions— more specifically, how microtubules are mechanically regulated by the cell. In her free time, she enjoys books, landscape photography, and the craft of home-brewed coffee.
