Bilingual FCT

Purpose:

To evaluate the effect of a language-based intervention, grounded in behavioral theory, that is tailored to mitigate relapse in challenging behavior of children with disabilities from bilingual homes.

We aim to teach variability in language that will promote persistence in communication over the resurgence of challenging behavior. Ideally, acquisition of this skill also increases responsiveness from relevant verbal communities.
