Nala

Nala (Helen) Hamilton is from Pennsylvania and earned a B.S. in Biology and a Certificate of Genomic Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Graduating in 2024 from undergrad, Nala joined the Vanderbilt IGP and then entered the Kaverina Lab in 2025. She is currently interested in how Kinesins regulate insulin trafficking and secretion.

Outside the lab she likes to read books and play video games. She has 2 cats.
