Henrik
Henrik joined Vanderbilt University in the fall of 2024 through the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (IGP). Originally from Wisconsin, he earned his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Following graduation, he worked as a research technician, where he contributed to the discovery of novel RNA splicing inhibitors in pathogenic fungi. Henrik joined the Kaverina Lab in May 2025. He has a strong interest in microscopy and is using a range of imaging techniques to investigate the role of dynein in insulin biogenesis and trafficking within pancreatic beta cells. Outside the lab, Henrik enjoys playing video games, Magic: The Gathering, and exploring new places.
