Postdoctoral Research Fellow Positions

The Kaverina laboratory in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at Vanderbilt University is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as postdoctoral researchers.

1. Our exciting projects include studies of (1) regulation of microtubule networks by cell-cycle and metabolic signaling, (2) interactive functions of microtubule-associate proteins in membrane trafficking and actin organization, (3) roles of unconventional molecular motors in pancreatic beta cells controlling insulin secretion, and more. Successful candidates will use a variety of high-end microscopy techniques combined with biochemical, molecular, and computational approaches.

2. The start date is flexible, starting immediately. Salary is according to the NIH scale.

3. Applicants should have a track record of productivity and have recently completed (or soon complete) their PhD in cell biology or a related field. Top applicants will have experience in molecular biology, biological microscopy, and/or computational modeling.

6. Some research projects currently open for incoming postdocs include projects under: role of MTs in pancreatic insulin secretion, RASSF1A function in MT Network Dynamics and Golgi Positioning, MT-dependent regulation of actin cytoskeleton, functions of Golgi association with the nuclear envelope, and mechanobiology and CLASP2-regulation of ISAs. We are also open to other related projects!
