Matt Santini is a fourth-year doctoral student in Special Education. He received his BA in English in 2005 and MAT in English Education in 2006, both from Boston University. Before coming to Vanderbilt, Matt worked as a special education paraprofessional, teacher, and behavior specialist in Pennsylvania public school settings for students with ASD and related disabilities. Matt began his studies at Vanderbilt in 2020, and received BCBA credentials in 2023. His current research interests include school staff training and classroom-based interventions for students with severe and persistent interfering behavior. Outside of school, Matt tries to balance his enthusiasm for both sedentary (books, movies) and active (exercise, jiu jitsu) pursuits.
