CT and Diversity Colloquium
CTLI sponsored a panel with experts whose work is aimed at making computing more accessible to a wide range of students at all levels. Yasmin Kafai (Penn) spoke about her project that allows students to make textiles that contain programmable elements. Nichole Pinkard (Northwestern) has been bringing after school programs to neighborhoods throughout the Chicago area, making computing closer to home for students. Robbie Melton (TSU) talked about the techniques she uses to make technology, programming and IOT less intimidating for her students. The panel discussion is available on the Center for Digital Humanities YouTube channel.
