Maile Jones


Maile graduated from Tulane University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a major in Health & Wellness. In 2020, she received her master’s degree in Child Studies from Vanderbilt University. During her time in graduate school, Maile published and presented on a wide range of topics including the importance of play in healthcare settings, the ways in which children’s anxiety level and self-reported fear are influenced by medical play interventions, conceptions of legacy, and the Association of Child Life Professionals Value Proposition Statement. After completing her child life internship at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Maile now works at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt as a Certified Child Life Specialist. Maile continues to learn from and collaborate with Dr. Boles on a variety of research topics, primarily focusing on the concept of legacy in healthcare settings.
