Introducing the fourth annual VIRAL symposium<\/h2>\n

The annual VIRAL Symposium,\u00a0Bridging Disciplines: Interdisciplinary Research for Global Challenges<\/em>, brings together international trainees, scholars, and faculty to explore how cross-disciplinary collaboration can address today’s most pressing global issues. This dynamic event showcases innovative research, fosters dialogue across fields, and creates opportunities for networking and collaboration within a diverse, international community. Through research talks, discussions, and shared perspectives, the symposium aims to inspire new ideas and partnerships that transcend disciplinary boundaries and advance impactful, globally minded scholarship.<\/p>\n \n

The 2026 Annual VIRAL Research Symposium\u00a0<\/b>will take place on\u00a0April 17th<\/b>\u00a0from 9am-5pm at the Student Life Center!<\/p>\n

Registration is now open! Registration closes April 1. Abstracts will be accepted until March 30th. Please use the QR code on attached flyer to register.<\/p>\n

The Vanderbilt International Researchers Alliance (VIRAL) is thrilled to invite you to the\u00a02025 Annual VIRAL Research Symposium\u00a0<\/b>on\u00a0April 18th<\/b>\u00a0from 9am-5pm at the Student Life Center! Registrations are now open! Presentation abstracts will be accepted until March 21st, and poster abstracts until March 28th. All winners will receive a generous award! We’re incredibly pleased to announce that the\u00a02nd<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>annual<\/strong>\u00a0VIRAL International Symposium: Research and Stories\u00a0<\/strong>hosted by the\u00a0Vanderbilt International Researchers Alliance (VIRAL).\u00a0<\/strong>Registrations are now open!\u00a0\u00a0Registration for attendance is open to everyone, and we specifically encourage students and post-docs who identify as international to register to present a poster and\/or talk. Thanks to the generous support of the Graduate School, trainees presenting will be able to print a poster free of charge through the Graduate School. More details to come in the new year!<\/p>\n \n

To be held\u00a0April 18th, 2024<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Community Event Space<\/strong>, the Symposium is an all-day event that aims to highlight and celebrate\u00a0the integral accomplishments of international research commuhnity at Vanderbilt University.\u00a0This year, VIRAL is aiming to expand our outreach and provide an academic platform for researchers from the many different departments here at Vandy to proudly present their work, research, and their international journey.<\/p>\n \n
