Kathryn (Katie) Kapp graduated summa cum laude from Gannon University in Erie, PA in May 2017 with a B.S. in Chemistry. She joined RASR Laboratory in January 2019 as a chemistry graduate student. Her current research project focuses on using integrated ‘omics to study health disparities in sepsis. Katie is a recipient of the Vanderbilt Chemistry-Biology Interface (V-CBI) T-32 training grant and won the First Year Chemistry Graduate Student Three Minute Thesis Competition. In her free time, Katie enjoys reading, sewing, watching The Office, hiking, and traveling.
