Kimi LaFever rises to Lab Manager.

Kimi LaFever, who joined the Page-McCaw lab as an RA2 the day we moved to Vanderbilt in 2010, is being promoted to Lab Manager.  This reclassification is a big move up for her, skipping entirely the intermediate step of RA3.  Kimi's new duties will include more training, organizing, and overseeing.  Kimi first started working with flies in the lab of Daniela Drummond-Barbosa, who then left Vanderbilt for Johns Hopkins in 2009.  Kimi helped Daniela's lab move to Baltimore but wanted to return to her native Tennessee.  She found us, planning a move to Nashville from New York.  We were lucky then — and we are lucky now to have Kimi continuing with us in this new capacity!
