Seth Smith is the Director of the Center for Human Imaging, Associate Director of VUIIS, and a Professor of Radiology, Biomedical Engineering, and Ophthalmology at Vanderbilt. He received a BS in Mathematics and a BS in Physics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his PhD from Johns Hopkins University. His current research interests include the development of advanced MRI methods for the detection and quantification of pathologies affecting the spinal cord and optic nerve.
