B.S. Biology – University of Mary Washington

Will grew up in Roanoke, VA. He graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in chemistry. Following undergrad, he joined the Dutta lab at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. There he contributed to the development of a tobacco mosaic virus based virus like particle vaccine for malaria. In the Mitchell lab, Will is working on engineering RiPP based analogs. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickleball and board games.
