Miriam grew up in Highland Park, IL, and got her degree from Towson University, MD, in Chemistry. In undergrad her research focused on quantification and detection of furanocoumarins in grapefruit supplements. Miriam joined the Mitchell Lab to work on better understanding RiPP peptide and enzyme interactions. In her free time she enjoys painting, cooking, and taking her dog on walks.
