Mayuresh is from Peoria, Illinois. He attended Bradley University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry-Business followed by a master’s degree in Chemistry. For his master’s thesis research project, he worked under Dr. Arijit Sengupta to study iron-porphyrin containing crosslinked polymers as heterogeneous catalysts for carbene insertion reactions. He joined the Mitchell research group in Fall 2020 to study RiPP enzyme chemistry. Some of his hobbies include playing basketball and hiking/travelling.
