B.S. Biophysics; Quantitative Biology – University of Southern California

Liane is from San Diego, California and attended the University of Southern California where she received bachelor’s degrees in Biophysics and Quantitative Biology. Her undergraduate research explored small molecule modulators of protein aggregation implicated in Huntington’s disease. Liane joined the Mitchell lab at Vanderbilt to engineer novel lasso peptides with therapeutic potential. Outside of lab, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and jigsaw puzzles.
