Hannah Bhakta

B.S. Biochemistry – Valparaiso University
Hannah grew up in Knoxville, TN. She graduated from Valparaiso University with a BS in Biochemistry and a minor in Spanish. She also studied abroad at both the University of Limerick (Ireland) and the Tec de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara (Mexico). Her undergraduate research focused on the discovery and synthesis of antimicrobial plant-derived natural products like berberine. In the Mitchell lab, Hannah is working on discovering novel RiPPs. In her free time, she enjoys figure skating and playing board games.
