Dominic grew up in Albany, NY. He earned bachelors in Chemistry and Biology from SUNY Albany. During this time he worked with Dr. Wang to optimize synthesis of S-linked glycopeptides. Later he studied at Columbia University where he earned his masters in Biotechnology. He worked with Dr. Stockwell on his thesis investigating peptidomimetics against the SARS-CoV2 3CL protease. After a gap year working at Biogen in oligonucleotide synthesis, he joined the Mitchell lab to work on RiPP biosynthesis. Outside the lab Dominic enjoys cooking, running, and backpacking.
