Dominic grew up in Albany, NY. He earned a bachelors in chemistry and biology from SUNY Albany. During this time he worked with Dr. Wang to optimize synthesis of S-linked glycopeptides. Later he studied at Columbia University where he earn his masters in biotechnology. He worked with Dr. Stockwell on his thesis investigating peptidomimetics against the SARS CoV2 3CL protease. After a gap year working at Biogen in oligonucleotide synthesis, he joined the Mitchell lab to work on RiPP biosynthesis. Outside the lab Dominic enjoys cooking, running, and backpacking.
