Biosketch and Research Interests

Madeline joined the Lindsley laboratory in August 2015 as a Research Assistant working on positive allosteric modulators for the M4 Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry and a minor in Neuroscience from University of North Carolina Asheville. As an undergraduate, Madeline conducted research in Dr. Herman Holt’s research group. She worked on synthesizing an indole analogue of the breast cancer treatment Tamoxifen.

Her research interests include medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, neuroscience and scientific literature.
