Kara Bell

Research Assistant I, Cell & Developmental Biology

Kara is from central Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia in May ’21 with a bachelor’s in biology. During her time at UVA she worked with reverse genetics in C. elegans; after graduating, she used Nasonia to study symbiosis and speciation in a research lab at Vanderbilt University. Outside of lab, Kara enjoys puzzles and games, reading, and her two cats- Pina and Ellie!
