Sriya Jonnakuti, a senior at Vanderbilt University, is pursuing a major in Medicine, Health, and Society along with a minor in Sustainability Studies while following the premedical track. She channels her passion for combatting climate change’s impact on health by actively participating in the Assessing Point Polluters, Drinking Water, & Health Outcomes (PPDWHO): TN Case Study project within the Drinking Water Justice Lab. Sriya’s commitment revolves around integrating health perspectives into this project, which encompasses health impact assessment and environmental justice analysis. Her aspiration to be a voice for patients in the future resonates with her current work, addressing broader social and environmental factors in healthcare, making her a vital contributor to the lab’s mission.
