Ryan W. Dalforno

Ryan Dalforno is a graduate student at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine pursuing a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on environmental and global health. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pepperdine University (2021), where he conducted research examining associations between anxiety and school truancy among adolescents in low- and middle-income countries with Dr. Loan P. Kim and Dr. Kathryn H. Jacobsen (University of Richmond). Prior to joining the DWJL, his work evaluated the geospatial distribution of chemical and microbial contaminants among private and community drinking water sources in Migori County, Kenya, in collaboration with Elizabeth Akinyi at Lwala Community Alliance. His research interests involve using geospatial and epidemiological analyses to characterize pollution exposures and related health outcomes among vulnerable populations.
