Preetam Cholli, M.D.

Dr. Preetam Cholli is a medical resident in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He earned his B.A. in Biological Sciences (minor Philosophy) at the University of Chicago and his M.D. from University of Massachusetts Medical School. He has had a longstanding interest in public health, social determinants, and health systems. A recipient of the Paul Ambrose Scholarship through the Association of Prevention Teaching and Research, his prior experiences have included leading a malnutrition project in the slum communities of Pune, India, leading a health resilience program for refugee communities in western Massachusetts, studying cervical cancer screening methods in Cameroon, and contributing to an evaluation of Medicaid reform efforts in Massachusetts. As a member of the Drinking Water Justice Lab, he has contributed to research in the Drinking Water/Human Body Organ Systems project and provided a valuable clinical perspective to our interdisciplinary team.
