Austin Fernandez

Austin is a graduate student in the Community Development and Action M.Ed. program at Vanderbilt University, Peabody College. He is a graduate research assistant in the Drinking Water Justice Lab. He earned a B.S. in Psychology at Northeastern University with minors in Spanish and Women’s/Gender/Sexuality Studies. Austin’s research background is in social psychology and public health. In the DWJL, he focuses on data retrieval and management in projects related to public water system contaminant sampling and will be working with TDH in a private well sampling initiative. His research interests revolve around environmental justice, sustainability, and climate change adaptation.
